Pastoral Ministry Training

In this session, one will aim to ground the student on a solid hearty, biblical, Theological, historical, and practical pastoral foundation. Through discussion we will apply the Trinitarian Gospel afresh to those areas you need more pastoral insight into generally or specifically. On this basis, we will conclude the session with a deeper view of Christ, a broader view of his word, and a practical view to application. Engaging the head, heart, and hands in pastoral ministry.

Classic Covenant Theology

In this course we will: *Consider the meaning of Covenant. *Consider each covenant individually. *Consider the progression and pattern of covenant throughout scripture. *Consider implicit and explicit Covenants. We will further look at: *How the Bible is held together by the covenant Christ. *Different approaches to covenant theology. *Historical and exegetical divergences in covenant theology. *Establish a Covenantal, biblical worldview and Covenantal methodology for reading the Bible. *Consider how Covenantal theology best aids us to read our Bibles for all they're worth!

Hermeneutics

This course invites you to navigate the world in front of the text, in the text, and behind the text. In this course, we will consider the lenses we all bring to the Bible upon reading and trying to understand. We will then look at how some of those may be helpful and some less helpful, as we consider the world inside the text and the way the Bible teaches how it should be interpreted and best understood. Finally, we will look at the world behind the text, by looking at the ancient cultural settings, new testament use of the Old Testament, and so much more.

Walking Through The Book Of Revelation

Based on my 2018 commentary - Until Christ Comes Again: Outlines In The Book Of Revelation, we will walk through the entire book, looking at: *Structure/Genre/Dating/Authorship. *Theme/Presuppositions/Interpretive Methods. *Strengths and weaknesses of various interpretive methodologies. *History of inteterpetation. *A walk through the entire book with explanatory notes and discussion.

Walking Through The Book of Ruth

In this course we will walk through the Book of Ruth. We will cover: *Time/Date/Authorship/Interpretations/Canonical Arrangement/Genre. *Themes/Theology/Structure. *We will walk through the entire book and it's meaning and relevancy for today. This course is based on my 2019 Commentary on the Book of Ruth.

Pastoral Counselling Training

In this session you will learn: *A deep and rich biblical doctrine of person (the mind, heart, affections, emotions, soul, will, and body). *We will consider the biblical basis for the relationship between all of these personal aspects. *We will consider the problem sin and it's effects. *We will consider how effective change and Christ-likeness is accomplished by way of trust in the Gospel.
